Filming Blog

Filming was a very unique experience. I have filmed videos for school projects in other classes however i've never had to take these new aspects that i've learned in this class into the videos. In other projects i have done, filming was a bit chaotic. Im grateful for learning how to write a storyboard because it helped with the filming process tremendously. My group followed the plan of the story board and it went smoothly. For each scene we filmed, we took a couple of takes just incase we ran into a problem and  to make the editing process easier. Taking angles and costumes into consideration helped the video look more professional. At first, my group partner and i kept laughing while acting our part of the commercial but as we got in the groove of filming, it became easier to get in character. It took more time then i expected to get a successful scene that all of our group members liked. After filming each scene, we all looked at what could be changed to make it better and then recorded the scene again with the improvements made.  After filming, we realized each scene that we filmed was longer than six seconds but with teamwork, we found a way to make it work. My group worked well together. Two of our group members were in the commercial and one of our group members were filming. The setting that we originally planned on filming at was available and we were able to pursue that setting without any issues. We finished a fair amount of filming on the first day and i'm confident that we will finish filming in time. We took editing into consideration while filming so i'm hoping that the editing process goes smoothly. We have watched many hand sanitizer commercials to get a better idea of what we should do for this project and now that we're filming, i believe that we have come up with a commercial that relates to the the others with our own creative twist. So far, i've really enjoyed filming this commercial and i'm looking forward to taking the stuff i've learned from filming and apply it to this commercial and the final music video. Im very exited to continue filming.
