 Creative Critical reflection:

Commercial blog

Im very proud of how the commercial turned out. I have learned so much while filming this video. I picked to do the commercial on hand sanitizer because it is a very relevant product in current times with a pandemic happening. My group ran into many errors that we had to overcome but everything turned out well at the end. I have learned a lot from the problems that i've ran into while filming and i know how to improve next time i have to film something similar to this. After everything, i would like to say that the commercial turned out successful and all of my group members were satisfied. The process was fun and it made me appreciate the hard work that filming team does do to get a successful commercial. I am excited to continue filming more things. I wouldn't have picked any other product to do the commercial on. This was a great project that i learned a lot from.

Edit blog

I didn't have a complete class to edit due to the PSAT. We completed most of the editing the class period prior to this one so that helped. This period all my group had to do was add finishing touches including background music, captions, special effects, etc. We talked as group to figure out what small things we could add to make the video better. We added an instrumental version of our favorite song as the background music. It fit the video well and added character to the video. Without music, the video would be less engaging and the audience would quickly lose interest. I did calculations and made the beat in the music drop as the germs were dying, it looked really cool. I came up with the idea of adding captions to the video. Adding captions ensured that the audience could clearly interpret what was being said in the video. Captions also add dramatic affect to the words being said.  Just the music and captions changed so much about the video. It was much more engaging and fun

Editing blog

My group had a unique editing experience. We had to film multiple scenes multiple times to make sure that we had enough clips for editing. Both of the times that my group filmed the commercial with Loudui and myself as the actors, we didn't complete enough scenes. The commercial that my group filmed with only myself as an actor was the clips that we chose to use for editing. While filming, my partners and i made sure to take editing into consideration which made the process easier. Finding a good editing app was a bit of a struggle. We edited some of the scenes on snapchat to add special effects and animated stickers. i chose snapchat because all of my group members know how to use it and there is a variety of effects and filters to choose from. The other app that we used to edit is called CapCut. Ive never used it before so i learned a lot of new stuff. We added all of the clips together and started making changes. After watching all of the videos and clips we made added together,

This was our second day of filming. The second day of filming was significantly more difficult than the first. One of our group members who played a main part in acting in the commercial was absent. My other group member and i had to figure out an alternative way to successfully film a commercial. I ended up following the story board but made it an independent act. After brainstorming and using teamwork, my team member and i were able to come up with a plan that will make sure we complete the commercial. Just in case Loudui was absent on Thursday, our last day to film, we had completed filming a commercial with just myself as an actor. If Loudui showed up on Thursday, we could complete the scenes including her that we started on the first day of filming. My other group member and i filmed a complete commercial but we waited to edit everything just incase we got the chance to finish filming the original commercial with Loudui. Kiara and i don't know each other too well so this gave
