Final production

I have finally completed my final task. It's such a fulfilling feeling to know that all of the hard work finally paid off. After a lot of trial and error, we have come up with a successful opening sequence. While editing and filming, we had to make multiple changes to see what the best result would be. After experimenting, we were able to make everything fit together with the correct plot clearly represented. Although the film had differences from the storyboard, the storyboard created a helpful guide throughout the entire filming and editing process. Even though some days couldn't work out for the actors and Sarah, we were still able to preserver through the challenges. Sarah and i held many discussions trying to improvise with certain dates and find alternate solutions if there were changes in the plan. The use of teamwork and problem solving helped us create an opening sequence that we are both satisfied with. The knowledge i've gained from this process changed my entir

Since i have completed my editing portion, it leaves a lot of room for improvements. I have already done a peer review but each day i rewatch the film with a fresh mind and see what i can change. I have shown multiple people the film and they have all liked it. Some people even provided improvements we could make with the editing. The most common advice i have received was about the transitions. The transitions from scene to scene are a very important factor of the film. Transitions can create certain effects for the audience or make the seem either flow choppy or smooth. The actual content for the film connected with each other very nicely. While filming, i was a bit worried that the clips wouldn't fit nicely with the plot. After editing, the plot seemed to be very clear and all the specific factors such as angles, costumes and lighting made a large contribution to the realistic effect. I think that making the film about a teenage friendship was a good idea because it contributes

Sarah and I edited over the weekend. On saturday we added all of the clips together and made sure it fit the time limit correctly. While editing, we noticed that certain clips fit better with certain transitions. The transitions were the most difficult part because it took a lot of trial and error. We also had to change the placement of certain clips to make sure they fit together smoothly. On sunday, after all of the clips were together in the way we both approved of, we went on to add the background music and diegetic sound. We added the diegetic sound from a separate audio clip we took of foot steps. Once i finished editing, i showed the film to someone in my english class and asked for any recommendations. She recommended we change the time of the film where we add the background music. Initially, we only had the background music at the end of the film where the main horror element was incorporated. After her suggestion we decided to add the music at a low volume thorough the enti

Editing part 2

Today was the day Sarah and i added the background music and titles to the film. I was excited for this part because it was the finishing touch to the film. It's critical that we added horror music to our film to make it mysterious. Although horror music is critical, we decided to add sentimental music throughout certain parts of the film. The horror element is implemented at the end of the film, this was done to leave the audience curious to find out what dream is going to do with all the information she has gathered about Paulanka. The beginning of the film is about the friendship they have created throughout time, meaning sentimental music would be appropriate. Once we felt that the background music correlated correctly to the scenes in the film, we added the diegetic sound. We added the sound of foot steps of Dream walking into her room where she has pictures of Paulanka on her wall. The footstep sounds would create a feeling of mystery for the audience. This creates suspense
