AICE media studies

Filming was a very unique experience. I have filmed videos for school projects in other classes however i've never had to take these new aspects that i've learned in this class into the videos. In other projects i have done, filming was a bit chaotic. Im grateful for learning how to write a storyboard because it helped with the filming process tremendously. My group followed the plan of the story board and it went smoothly. For each scene we filmed, we took a couple of takes just incase we ran into a problem and  to make the editing process easier. Taking angles and costumes into consideration helped the video look more professional. At first, my group partner and i kept laughing while acting our part of the commercial but as we got in the groove of filming, it became easier to get in character.   1. Loudui and Macaria are walking down the stairs having a casual conversation.  2. While they are walking and talking Macaria touches the staircase railing and gets a vision about the amount of germs that could be on the railing. 3. Macaria starts freaking out and tells Loudui how much germs could be on her hand from touching the railing. 4. Loudui takes out Purell hand sanitizer and tells her Purell removes 99.9% of germs. 5. Macaria Has another vision of the Purell killing all the germs.

  Props For my group's hand sanitizer commercial our main prop is Hand sanitizer. Costumes In our commercial, Two of our group members(actors) will be in regular school clothes. Schedule  9/23/21, Researching hand sanitizers. Establishing props, costumes, schedule location list, and backup plan.  9/27/21 & 9/29/21 Create storyboard. 10/1/21 & 10/5/21, Filming. 10/7/21 & 10/11/21, Editing. Location: Our main location is the building 17 staircase, and we will also record our actors walking towards the building.  Backup plan If the building 17 staircase is occupied then we will either use the building 21 staircase on the media staircase.  My group is doing a Purell hand sanitizer commercial. In these commercials, the audience is usually persuaded to use hand sanitizer to help prevent illness and the spread of germs.  In most Hand sanitizer commercials, They wear casual attire because they're trying to replicate everyday life.  The props that are used are usually anything that can carry a lot of germs on them for example, a door handle, airplane, shopping cart, cell phone, table, etc.  There is usually a variety of appearances that are demonstrated in the commercials. Showing different types of people including, adults and children in different scenarios, shows how beneficial the product can be for a large amount of people.  The setting in the commercials are in common places that most people go to without realizing how many germs are there.  The sore through the commercials are slow paced so the audience can comprehend the importance of hand sanitizer.  In some commercials, they edit cartoon germs onto surfaces bec

 I am working on this project with Loudui. We have been friends since middle school and we took peer counseling together in 7th and 8th grade. I have worked on many projects with her in that class and we have gotten the work done efficiently. Not only is she my friend, but she is a good student. Loudui and i have a similar personality with a lot in common. I think we could come up with some great ideas for the commercial together without any conflict. I wouldn't have picked her to work with if i knew that it would cause problems or negatively affect my grade. I think that working as a group of two is a good idea. It is less people to keep track of and communicating should be easier. If i were to be working by myself, i wouldn't be able to hear the brilliant ideas that another person has brought to the table that i probably wouldn't have thought of myself.  It is a relieving feeling to know that both of us do our work because a lot of times in group projects, some members do

 My name is Macaria Linarez-Castillo.  I am a sophomore at Fort Lauderdale High and I looking forward to taking AICE Media Studies.  I am genuinely  excited to take this class. What excited me about taking  Media Studies is because of the impact media has in every facet of our lives.  There is the history of media which has changed so much in my lifetime.  Also, there is the way Media influences and reflects human behavior through communications, and social sciences.  I am fascinated by the impact media can have on peoples lives and want to learn more about how media is going to continue to influence our day to day lives and our futures. My favorite realm of media is through music. Music is a form art that people can express themselves by and many different people can relate to. Filming a music video will give me a chance to pick one of my favorite songs and put myself into the world i imagine while listening to the song.
