Group blog

 I am working on this project with Loudui. We have been friends since middle school and we took peer counseling together in 7th and 8th grade. I have worked on many projects with her in that class and we have gotten the work done efficiently. Not only is she my friend, but she is a good student. Loudui and i have a similar personality with a lot in common. I think we could come up with some great ideas for the commercial together without any conflict. I wouldn't have picked her to work with if i knew that it would cause problems or negatively affect my grade. I think that working as a group of two is a good idea. It is less people to keep track of and communicating should be easier. If i were to be working by myself, i wouldn't be able to hear the brilliant ideas that another person has brought to the table that i probably wouldn't have thought of myself.  It is a relieving feeling to know that both of us do our work because a lot of times in group projects, some members don't participate and it starts chaos. Another reason i picked to work with Loudui is because i'm comfortable with her. As an introvert, i get nervous sharing my ideas with people that i don't know too well.  Since we are friends, we are both comfortable enough to share our most brilliant ideas and come up with the best possible commercial we can make. We also share a lot of the same interests, so picking a product to do the commercial on shouldn't be too difficult. I haven't been in a class with her in an entire year so being able to work with her on this project excites me. We are both very kind people who treat each other with respect so i think that if for some reason a conflict does happen, we will be able to get through it. We both have working phones with good camera quality so the filming process should be simple. She also has great artistic talent which should help the storyboard look more neat and professional. With the combination of her artistic skills and my creativity, our project should turn out very nicely. I am confident with working with her for all of those reasons.

Filming solution

 welcome back! In the previous blog i discussed how i got sick a couple days before filming. I had to find a solution to the issue. I contacted my group members, a day before our planned filming day, letting them know that i wouldn't be able to attend. They informed me that it would be okay because the scenes being filmed didn't require every group member to be in it. I still wanted to be included because i know from our previous times filming that during the process we often make changes from the storyboard to better our film. These changes take place during the actual process of filming each scene as sometimes we realize that our storyboard is complicated to follow exactly.  I think it's important for each group member to contribute by adding their input to these changes as it adds as much perspective as possible. How to make a short film

  Blog 3 What is the take away from the video?   I have acknowledged all the aspects and things needed to make a film. I learned the writing tips, production and post production steps and procedures. I could take away that there are ways to be better prepared for filming then I have before.     What good information did you gather while watching  it?   Budgeting and the resources you have access to will be crucial throughout the entire making of the film. When editing, cut the scenes down until you can't anymore which will shorten the film to just the important parts of it. Preparation is key for a film. However, even if you create a storyboard for the entire film, there still may be changes while making it. Stick to a theme and a tone and let it guide the story. If you do not do so, it will confuse the audience. Lastly, taking care of your cast is important because if you do not have respect them, they may not make it as easy to film.     How do ...
