Filming preperation

 Welcome! In this blog i discussed what i did in preparation of my first day of filming. My group discussed the final storyboard together so we all have an idea of what to expect the first day of filming. In preparation, all of my group members messaged Khalid through instagram asking for permission to use his song "coaster" in our short film. He hasn't answered yet and if he doesn't end up answering by the time i start editing the film, i can figure out a way to remix or edit the song to avoid copyright complications. Royalty free options are also open. Music is an important factor for the film especially considering the high emotions that need to be represented in the film. My film is in the drama genre, meaning the emotions represented are intended to have a impactful influence on the audience. Short films consist of less dialogue and more action and aesthetic factors representing a plot. This means that camera angles and sound are critical aspects into making a film representative. One goal of my group is to ensure the sound is implemented in the most impactful way possible. One weakness if that my group doesn't have a solid plan of how much filming we want to get done on each day we have scheduled. So far we only have one day guaranteed that we will all get together to film. I assume we will get as much done as possible but there's no set schedule of how much we should complete that day. Besides that, i feel as though my group is pretty prepared to start filming. We have a setting that can be used regardless of the weather, we have found a day that all of us can get together, we have a solid storyboard to follow, and we have previous filming experience to help guide us in our journey.
