Group blog

I'm working as a group of three on this project. I'm working with Sarah and Al'janae. I met both of them while i was in this class. Ive never worked on a project with them, however, i have noticed they both have a nice work ethic and they always participate. All of us get along well and i'm excited to work on this project with them. Before picking a song, we all brainstormed video ideas and explained how the video we made would correlate with the song. After discussion, we decided to do the video idea that i came up with. We chose the song "heather" by Conan Gray. The song is very story telling and the lyrics could make a large contribution to the plot that we're thinking of. All of my group members know the song so none of us would have to go out of our way to learn a new song. I am confident that my group is going to be able to come up with a great plot to match this specific song. We all agreed to the song without any conflict and we came up with great potential video ideas. Since i've never worked with these group members before, i'm excited to see how well we work together. I worked with different people on the commercial project so this is something new. This can prepare me for picking the group mates that i work with best for the final project. Even if i run into conflict with these group mates, i will take it as a learning experience and make changes next time. Both of my group mates live near me so it will be easy to meet up with each other for the project. Since all of us already know each other, we should all feel comfortable enough to share our ideas and be able to collaborate. Im very excited to work on this project. I think my group can work efficiently together and we can make a successful video with our best potential.

Filming solution

 welcome back! In the previous blog i discussed how i got sick a couple days before filming. I had to find a solution to the issue. I contacted my group members, a day before our planned filming day, letting them know that i wouldn't be able to attend. They informed me that it would be okay because the scenes being filmed didn't require every group member to be in it. I still wanted to be included because i know from our previous times filming that during the process we often make changes from the storyboard to better our film. These changes take place during the actual process of filming each scene as sometimes we realize that our storyboard is complicated to follow exactly.  I think it's important for each group member to contribute by adding their input to these changes as it adds as much perspective as possible. How to make a short film

  Blog 3 What is the take away from the video?   I have acknowledged all the aspects and things needed to make a film. I learned the writing tips, production and post production steps and procedures. I could take away that there are ways to be better prepared for filming then I have before.     What good information did you gather while watching  it?   Budgeting and the resources you have access to will be crucial throughout the entire making of the film. When editing, cut the scenes down until you can't anymore which will shorten the film to just the important parts of it. Preparation is key for a film. However, even if you create a storyboard for the entire film, there still may be changes while making it. Stick to a theme and a tone and let it guide the story. If you do not do so, it will confuse the audience. Lastly, taking care of your cast is important because if you do not have respect them, they may not make it as easy to film.     How do ...
