Group blog

This opening sequence project is extremely important. Using the experience that I've had with other projects i've done in the class, i've decided to work as a pair. I'm going to work with Sarah Samuels. I decided to work in a pair because i think its the most efficient way to successfully complete a project with less conflict. When theres more group members, theres more people to try and accommodate all at once which can make the process harder. Working as a pair of two will allow us to use our personal ideas to the fullest extent. Our personal creativeness will be represented in the final video more than if we worked with others. Although i've worked in a group of three for my other projects in this class, the partner that i'm working with leaves me confident to believe that working as a pair will be the right decision. I've worked with Sarah on my Music Video project and it turned out well. We get along well and are able to meet up outside of school when needed. We're both responsible and have an efficient work ethic. Although we are friends, we are able to put our social desires to the side and focus on the work presented to us. We can easily contact each other if needed meaning communication shouldn't be a problem. We shared teamwork in our last project we did together and we were able to work through the many conflicts we ran into. I do have other friends in the class but after the experiences with other work in the class i think that Sarah would be the best choice to partner with. Since we're friends we both feel comfortable sharing our ideas with one another and will be able to speak up if we disagree with something. We both have a good understanding of what we're supposed to do on this project so if we work together our opening sequence should thrive. Im excited to work on another project with her and cant wait to learn more about her ideas. Im confident this project will turn out well with the teamwork of both of us.

Filming solution

 welcome back! In the previous blog i discussed how i got sick a couple days before filming. I had to find a solution to the issue. I contacted my group members, a day before our planned filming day, letting them know that i wouldn't be able to attend. They informed me that it would be okay because the scenes being filmed didn't require every group member to be in it. I still wanted to be included because i know from our previous times filming that during the process we often make changes from the storyboard to better our film. These changes take place during the actual process of filming each scene as sometimes we realize that our storyboard is complicated to follow exactly.  I think it's important for each group member to contribute by adding their input to these changes as it adds as much perspective as possible. How to make a short film

  Blog 3 What is the take away from the video?   I have acknowledged all the aspects and things needed to make a film. I learned the writing tips, production and post production steps and procedures. I could take away that there are ways to be better prepared for filming then I have before.     What good information did you gather while watching  it?   Budgeting and the resources you have access to will be crucial throughout the entire making of the film. When editing, cut the scenes down until you can't anymore which will shorten the film to just the important parts of it. Preparation is key for a film. However, even if you create a storyboard for the entire film, there still may be changes while making it. Stick to a theme and a tone and let it guide the story. If you do not do so, it will confuse the audience. Lastly, taking care of your cast is important because if you do not have respect them, they may not make it as easy to film.     How do ...
