Music Blog
Today was the day that Sarah and i picked out the background music we will use for our opening sequence. Sarah has been sick for the past couple days so we couldn't discuss too many details about the film. Since she hasn't been at school, i decided to video call her in class so we can discuss the film. We scrolled through royalty free music on YouTube and discussed which one would be the best fit. I looked over the storyboard and the previous clips we filmed to experiment with the music. We spent about thirty minutes scrolling until we found two songs that we agreed with. We decided to use a sound titled "Creepy Piano Loop- horror and suspense- Royalty free Stock music" and Royalty Free Music- Bump in the night- Horror- Kevin Macleod. I also discussed which scenes certain music and sound effects would be used in. I'm planning on using the piano music quietly in the background of the majority of the film. Im also planning to merge sound effects from the other music in the end of the opening sequence, where the horror element is at its peak. We may make certain changes as we start editing but we have a steady, clear plan for the music so far. We decided to use royalty free music instead of emailing a producer. We also discussed using voiceovers of the characters laughing and making other sound effects.
