Filming Bolg
I completed filming on Friday, April 1st. My group was struggling on being able to find a date that all of us can meet at my house. On Friday, i provided transportation for all of my group members to meet at my house so we could complete our remaining scenes at the bed location. We were able to film the characters second coincidental meeting scenes at dairy queen first. We incorporated a dutch and a tracking shot. When we arrived to my house, Sarah and I looked at the story board and discussed each scene. While discussing, we went over which camera angles and sound we would be incorporating into each scene. First, we filmed Dream walking into her "room". This scene was filmed with low lighting and diegetic footstep sounds. After she walks into her room she reaches for her notebook diary which was a prop previously used throughout the scenes. Dream then walks to the bed and reveals what was in the notebook the entire time. The page in the notebook reads "Guide to becoming Paulanka" and shows pictures of Paulanka's family while Dream crosses out her eyes. The camera rises up and reveals the rest of the setting which shows pictures of Paulanka on Dreams wall. The low lighting and black and grey pictures incorporate a horror element. This reveals the evil intent that Dream has had towards Paulanka throughout the entire film. Then i filmed the "reminiscing" scenes where the characters were on the bed setting reminiscing about when they first met. All reminiscing scenes were filmed from a high angle. We also incorporated a shot-reverse-shot of the characters as they're talking with each other on the bed. We experimented with many different camera angles to see which presents a reminiscent feeling the best. We considered editing throughout the entire filming process. The media used is a photo of Paulanka's family that is also found in Dreams Diary notebook in the last scene.
