  The short film my group and I have created consists of a teenage girl going through five stages of heartbreak. These stages consist of Denial, anger, grief, bargaining, and acceptance . This short film represent s teenagers as a social group and covers the issues of relationships and breakups. There are many factors that contribute to teenagers as a social group. At this age, people are discovering who they are an d who they want to be . This is a crucial age for people to start making decisions that benefit their prolonged future . We are forced to mature at this age and start thinking with an adult mindset in hopes of success . This age puts a lot of stress and pressure on individuals but the amazing thing about it is that you are surrounded by people going through many of the same struggles.  It is important for peer editing to occur as it makes sure the film is complete with its fullest potential. If we are planning to gain an actual audience, it's helpful to gain insight from others. Individuals outside of our group can give us an unbiased opinion and help us improve. We will welcome all consideration for change but we will not change every request. It's important we discuss as a group which change requests we think will actually improve our film. This includes requests that we have received from multiple people will be considered more than a small change request from one person. 

 After 3 days of work. We have finished the editing process. This still leaves a lot of room for improvements. I have not yet done a peer review but each day i rewatch the film with a fresh mind and see what i can change. I found that the most complicated aspect was transitions. The transitions from scene to scene are a very important factor of the film. Transitions can create certain effects for the audience or make the seem either flow choppy or smooth. The actual content for the film connected with each other very nicely. While filming, i was confident that thee clips would fit nicely with the plot. After editing, the plot seemed to be very clear and all the specific factors such as angles, costumes and lighting made a large contribution to the realistic effect. I think that making the film about a teenage relationship was a good idea because it contributes to the realistic approach of the drama film.  Today was the day Brianna and i added the background music and titles to the film. I was excited for this part because it was the finishing touch to the film. It's critical that we added dramatic  music to our film to make it emotional. Although dramatic music is critical, we decided to add incidental music throughout certain parts of the film. The drama element is implemented throughout the entire film. This was done by implementing events that were realistic but exaggerated.  The beginning of the film is about the breakup, meaning sentimental music would be appropriate. Once we felt that the background music correlated correctly to the scenes in the film, we added the diegetic sound. This creates suspense as it makes the audience really focus on the character at that moment. Adding the titles wasn't too complicated considering we followed the storyboard. Advertisement is a key aspect of a successful film. Theres no better way to gain an audience then by advertisement. This can take place in many forms such as promotion on social media. For our short film we are required to make a post card and a website which consists of information about our "upcoming short film.  We split the advertisement tasks bet2ween the group members. I was the group member in charge of the website specifically. My group has made an array of social medias to provide updates and insight about our film. The website is made to display all the social medias and provide a quick summary of what our film is offering. I will also use it as a platform to "brag" about our film.  We have completed filming and have now started the editing process. We are using a combination of CapCut and iMovie on a computer. Both of these apps are accessible on an Iphone but are more efficiently used on computers. These apps offer much more editing options on a computer compared to the limited options the same app offers on an iphone. The primary app we chose to use was capcut. Ive only previously used Imovie so this will be something new for me. My group member Brianna got refered to capcut by a friend so it was exciting to try something new that worked for a friend for the same purpose. On saturday we added all of the clips together and made sure it fit the time limit correctly. While editing, we noticed that certain clips fit better with certain transitions. The transitions were the most difficult part because it took a lot of trial and error. We also had to change the placement of certain clips to make sure they fit together smoothly.  Welcome back! Filming is finally complete. We finished filming on Thursday. We filmed multiple attempts of each scene. I regret not finishing the filming process earlier because it put our group on a time crunch. We were still able to complete filming on time though. The last day we were planned to film i was out of town.  I video called my group before they started filming. We took a look at the storyboard for one last time and we discussed the last scenes we needed to film to complete our short film. i also informed them to let me know if any changes occurred.  This is a very satisfactory feeling as we are ready to move on to the editing process. We have scheduled a backup day to film just in case an error occurs in editing and we need to re-film a scene. The overall filming process ran pretty smooth.  welcome back! In the previous blog i discussed how i got sick a couple days before filming. I had to find a solution to the issue. I contacted my group members, a day before our planned filming day, letting them know that i wouldn't be able to attend. They informed me that it would be okay because the scenes being filmed didn't require every group member to be in it. I still wanted to be included because i know from our previous times filming that during the process we often make changes from the storyboard to better our film. These changes take place during the actual process of filming each scene as sometimes we realize that our storyboard is complicated to follow exactly.  I think it's important for each group member to contribute by adding their input to these changes as it adds as much perspective as possible.  Welcome back! Working in a group comes with accommodations that have to be made. You have to try to include every member and give them all an equal chance. Thus, it takes work to try and find a date that everybody can meet up. After discussing we found a date that worked but one of the group members had an unexpected emergency. We discussed again and decided to film on march 12th. My group discussed which scenes we wanted to film on that day to ensure we used our time wisely. Of course we will try to get as much filming done as possible, but by discussing a specific amount of scenes, it gives us a minimum goal to reach, helping us successfully complete the filming process. It's important to get as much filming done as possible, considering how hard it is to find a date that we can all meet up.  In this blog, i will discuss the mis-en-scene used in our film. Mis-en-scene is the arrangement of actors and properties before a film takes place. This is almost like "backstage" access to a film. It helps give an understanding of the factors that make a film portray a certain image, plot, and emotions. Starting with costumes, the main character Brianna, is constantly changing costumes to fit into the appropriate situation represented in the film. In the film she is going through stages of heartbreak. In the beginning scenes when Brianna is with her boyfriend, she is wearing casual wear, while during her stages of "sorrow" she is wearing a big blanket over her entire body. The blanket is meant to represent comfort in a time of despair. In the "bargaining stage" Brianna is getting ready to go to a party that her boyfriend is attending.  I started filming on Sunday February 12th. I arrived to Nicoles house and my group and I immediately started discussing concerns and plans for the film. We briefly reviewed the storyboard so we can have an idea of what order we will be filming the scenes in. After discussing, we decided which scenes we should complete first. It started in chronological order, then we filmed the scenes that included all members just in case someone isn't able to make it another day of filming. We used Filipe as our male actor. He isn't in our group for the project so we decided to film the scenes that he is in first. He is doing us a favor so we made sure to use him only when necessary. That day, we finished all scenes that He was included in, which was about 4 scenes.  Welcome! In this blog i discussed what i did in preparation of my first day of filming. My group discussed the final storyboard together so we all have an idea of what to expect the first day of filming. In preparation, all of my group members messaged Khalid through instagram asking for permission to use his song "coaster" in our short film. He hasn't answered yet and if he doesn't end up answering by the time i start editing the film, i can figure out a way to remix or edit the song to avoid copyright complications. Royalty free options are also open. Music is an important factor for the film especially considering the high emotions that need to be represented in the film. My film is in the drama genre, meaning the emotions represented are intended to have a impactful influence on the audience.
